A dynamic Chicago-based chamber ensemble, Mode brings together a cast of some of the best artists and performers in the city. Not your grandma's symphony subscription, Mode creates salon-style performances that connect with a changing audience for live classical music. Enjoy great works in an intimate setting with a cocktail and themed small bites. We have taken audiences from the exotic wonders of the 1889 World's Fair to the simple charms of Samuel Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915.
We've enjoyed worldwide success in solo and orchestral performances under the batons of Riccardo Muti, Sir Andrew Davis, Pierre Boulez, Bernard Haitink, Myung-Whun Chung, Charles Dutoit, Valery Gergiev, Alan Gilbert, Paavo Järvi, James Levine, and Michael Tilson Thomas, and have performed as members of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and the Los Angeles Philharmonic, among many others. We've also been featured on national broadcasts across the world.
